"The best camera in the world is the one that you have with you." - Unknown
It's been some time since I've uploaded some of my street photography - and am posting a few images here from the past month or so. I carry a camera around with me most days, and routinely enjoy what Robin Wong coined as "shutter therapy" - simply enjoying the freedom to wander, explore, and shoot what is there. although usually for me it is on my way to/from something. Family, work, life - doesn't allow for much time to get out on dedicated photo walks, so it's important to use the time you do have, even if it's only in short blocks. So many moments unfold around us in any given second, and although most of these I capture with only my eyes and memory, the rest I do with another tool - in this case, a camera. I think the idea of shutter therapy is to keep you out of your own head in some ways; it keeps me noticing the world around me, watching, and observing, and realizing there the world does not revolve around whatever is currently stuck in my brain.
